With the click of a button, your resume will be analyzed and optimized to comply with the selected format's specifications.

Here’s how...

Your Federal Jobs Kit comes with a powerful Resume Optimization feature that is designed to ensure your resume contains all of the information required for a particular agency or department, and that the formatting is optimized according to each organization's specifications.

Many agencies and departments such as the Army, Navy, DOD, and Air Force have resume requirements that are unique to that agency. The OPM also has its own recommended format. It certainly can be confusing!

And many resumes are scanned by Resumix software to extract the information into a database without being reviewed by a person. Since this technology looks for different things than a human reviewer, we've built in a Resumix selection within the Resume Optimization feature. When you choose the Resumix-friendly format, suggestions will be made to help maximize the chances that your resume will being scanned correctly.

You can select to have the Resume Optimization program automatically make the optimizing changes, or you can print a report and make the changes yourself.

Fed Res 2000 can optimize your resume for any of the eight official formats included with this program. That means it evaluates the resume to make sure you have included everything you need to correctly submit in the format you are using. This includes:

  • Layout. Does this resume match the recommended or required format for this agency or Resumix?

  • Fonts and Attributes. Use of fonts and attributes such as italic make your resume look good, but may make it difficult to scan. Quick&Easy will show you how to make you resume more machine-readable.

  • Data. Be sure your information is the right type and placed optimally on your resume. For example: Resumix has a preferred placement and method of including key words; and you should never use parentheses in a resume to be scanned by Resumix.

  • Required Information. Quick&Easy makes sure that you have all of the required information for the format you are using.

Your Federal Jobs Kit takes the confusion out of applying for a federal job! Now you can be sure that your resume has the highest chance of success possible!
