Because
applying for a federal job is so different from applying for a civilian job,
we've developed Fed Res 2000 to ensure your resume includes everything
it needs to correctly apply for a federal job.
Here's
how...
Quick&Easy
Federal Jobs Kit has always been an outstanding tool for filling out the
standard forms used for federal employment. And now it includes Fed Res 2000
-- our most powerful federal employment tool ever!
Not
only does Fed Res 2000 include the official OPM recommended resume and
seven other official formats, it also provides additional formatting tools to
make your resume visually attractive for those situations where it will be
reviewed by a person. And it has powerful features to optimize it for computer
review. (Our customers tell us that Fed Res is a terrific resume
creation tool when applying for positions in any job market!)
DataTech,
Inc. (the makers of Quick & Easy) have developed new technology that's the
heart of our Resume Optimization
feature. Your resume can be optimized and readied to comply with agency or
department formats; Resumix, scanning, OCR, or e-mail specifications. You can
quickly generate any of these new formats without destroying the native format
of your resume so it still looks good for visual review.
With
the powerful tools we've built into the program, you can modify any format to
make it look just like you want it to look. Available formats include:
Here’s
how FedRes 2000 works...
-
Enter
your information using a series of tabbed dialog boxes. By filling in all of
the fields on each tab, you can be sure that you have entered all of the
information required to apply for a federal job.
-
After
your data is entered, you can format it using either one of Quick &
Easy's standard
federal formats; or you can customize a format to meet your specific needs.
-
Since
some federal formats require additional information that is not normally
needed, there is a separate data entry screen for this additional data.
-
You
can easily change between resume formats; and each resume will be optimized
for the resume type you have selected. For example: the Army requires some
additional information not required by OPM.
-
If
you downloaded the vacancy announcement from the internet, you can view it
while filling out your resume.
-
While
most of these official formats are not visually attractive, they are
specifically designed for computer review. You can also format and print a
more visually appealing resume for those occasions when you will be
submitting the document by mail or in person.
-
You
can Resumix optimize your resume for those times when it will be scanned.
-
Since
many agencies still require or prefer an OF 612
or SF 171, you can instantly transfer your
resume data to any form.
The
advantages of using FedRes 2001...
-
You
can be sure that you have met the requirements outlined in OF
510.
-
You
can quickly enter your data using a familiar Data
Entry Dialog Box interface.
-
Eight
common standard resume formats are built-in. We make sure that you enter the
information required for each one.
-
You
can optimize any format using the optimization wizard. This makes sure that
you have entered all required information and formatted your resume as
required by that format's specifications.
-
You
can easily format your resume using multiple fonts, bold, italics, and other
attributes to make your information stand out.

E-mail
your resume...
After
you've optimized your resume, you can convert it to an e-mail format optimized
for the agency to which you are applying. Some agencies have published standards
for receiving e-mailed resumes, and we have built these standards into your Quick&Easy
Federal Jobs Kit.
Upload
your resume to our database...
With
the click of the mouse, you can upload your resume to DataTech, Inc. (the makers
of Quick&Easy) resume database where
it can be reviewed by agencies searching for prospective employees. This free

"Post to Web" option from the file menu. Your resume is posted to the
