Now you can apply for a federal job using a resume; however, there may be times when an agency 'prefers' that you submit an OF 612 to apply for available jobs. In order to provide you with the most application format options, Quick&Easy has included the OF 612 form, plus 11 additional forms:
OF 612 Optional Application for Federal Employment This form can be used to apply for a job in the Federal government. In 1995, it was designed to take the place of the SF 171 and give the applicant an organized method of applying. By filling out the OF 612, you can be assured you have provided the basic information required to be considered for a Federal job. SF 171 Application for Federal Employment Although no longer required by the government, you still have the option to submit an SF 171; for many people this form will continue to be the preferred way to apply for a federal job. The software includes full support for the SF 171 with all of the features you have come to expect from Quick&Easy. OF 306 Declaration for Federal Employment This form asks you to disclose background information necessary to apply for a job in the Federal government. It is often required to be submitted after you have been selected as a potential candidate for a federal job. SF 15 Veterans Preference For use by veterans and their relatives who are seeking the 10-point veterans preference in the federal hiring process. IRS 9686 Merit Promotion Questionnaire This form is used internally in the Department of Treasury for merit promotions. It is the required form for all internal IRS promotions.
